Snake Shoe
Design Project, 2009
„Snake Shoe" is a design for a contemporary fashion sneaker. It uses parametric surface population applying components on a surface.
Scales components
Overlaying scales protect and mainly contribute to the shoe's appearence. The main body surface is covered by individual scales, which can be substituted in order to change colour, materiality and haptics - leading to an entire change of the appearance.
While walking, those flexible scales erect themselves and provide for air ventilation.
